"We're back at it again this summer with our annual skateboarding contest at Newtown Skatepark! This is our 4th year running and it's sure to be another awesome event. Come out, skate, listen to music, eat pizza, spectate or compete and maybe even win some gear!

This summer we are working with our regular team of awesome sponsors, as well as some new ones. We consider these shops/organizations to be the blood of the Connecticut skateboarding scene and could'nt be more excited to have them aboard for our event.

as well as Newtown Parks and Recreation because without them none of this would be possible.

We will have tons of different music all day from all of these performers:

As we have in the past we will have pizza and a taco stand, and this year we plan to have an ice cream truck on site as well!

Siouxside will be doing event photos, so make sure you find him and get your picture taken!

The main parking lot to the skatepark on Brushy Hill Road will be for event staff and sponsors/vendors only. We are encouraging all attendees to park on the Deep Brook Road entrance to Dickinson Park, or to use the Elm Drive entrance.

Entry fee is $5
Contest entry is an additional $5

The categories will be:
15 and under
15 and over

We will be giving out product for Best Trick and Best Overall on different sections of the park as well as our Bowl Jam, and some secret surprise events throughout the day!

All proceeds from the event go to a fund at Parks and Recreation which we use to have these events, and will be put toward an eventual addition to Newtown Skatepark.
