?Johnny Blais and Testy (aka Built In Audio) ?
Mass Appeal, Gigabeat Records Affiliate : (Johnny Blais of Funk’d Up)

With combined experience of 20 years these 2 have been collectively and independently been shaking dance floors up and down the east coast since 2000. With influences like DJ Icey, Baby Anne, DJ X, and Fixx they fell in love with the FL Breaks scene, and made the sound their own with Miami Bass and Electro heavy in their hearts. They’ve played in events for
True Crew, Columns of Knowledge, and independent events throughout MA under TGP (The Ghetto Project). In 2008 they moved to Miami and formed the duo Built In Audio under their production company Mass Appeal. Playing in prestigious clubs like The White Room, Oceans 11, and even having an appearance in WMC 2010. Since then Testy moved back to MA, but
John has gone on to sign with Gigabeat Records (www.Gigabeat.us) of Miami under the name “Funk’d Up”with his first production release coming out in Late Aug. 2010 This will be their first MA appearance together in many years, and should prove to be a night that can’t be missed.

Joni Mitchell

For those of you who haven’t heard, the City of Springfield has announced that they will be knocking down The Asylum building throughout July & August. The property will be turned into a parking lot. We at True Productions have decided that this would be a the most appropriate time to have our FINAL Asylum Reunion event to show the City of Springfield that they can tear down a building, but they will NEVER break our spirit.

“You don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone.” Those words couldn’t ring more TRUE, especially when reminiscing about a venue such as the Asylum. We want to remind everyone (both old and new) about the importance of preserving the few venues we have left to celebrate our music in. We need to party responsibly. Respect not only the venue you party in, but more so YOURSELF. Respect the others surrounding you and remember – Peace Love Unity Respect *Resposibility*

EXCISION with MC JERU THE DAMAJA

http://www.myspace.com/excision

http://www.facebook.com/excision

Kelowna, British Colombia, Canada

Taking influence from Drum and Bass, Metal, and Hip Hop, Excision is a Dubstep artist who must be heard to be fully believed. Combining the morphing basslines of Drum and Bass, the aggressive energy of Metal, and the laid back vibes of hip hop, Excision’s style is incomparable. At only 22, this prodigy hailing from up north in Canada has rapidly grown to become of the biggest Dubstep acts of North America. If you’re lucky enough to catch a live set, expect an assault of bass-heavy tracks, mixed quickly and seamlessly. His first release, “No Escape” on his label Rottun Recordings sold out and repressed. Shortly after he was asked by EDM superstars Pendulum to remix their latest single “Showdown.” Forthcoming collabs will include: Bassnectar, SPL, DZ + more. Global tours and festival stops, nods from industry and top producers worldwide, and picking up fans faster than a wild brush fire out of control, Excision is only warming up on what can only be described as the future of dubstep!

	JERU THE DAMAJA
***Special Guru Tribute Performance***

http://www.myspace.com/jeru

GangStarr Foundation

Brooklyn, New York

Jeru began his legacy in Brooklyn where he started rapping at block parties at a very young age. He first showcased his hardcore Brooklyn style to audiences on “I’m the Man,” track from Gang Starr’s 1992 album Daily Operation. The following year, he released his first single “Come Clean”, an instant his, which was produced by DJ Premier. His first album, “The Sun Rises in the East” in 1994 brought him much acclaim and is still considered a benchmark in the industry! His second album in 1996, “Wrath Of the Man”, again with DJ Premier brought him further into the spotlight and also began to showcase his individuality. His track “One Day” gave his perception on commercial directions in hip hop which led to his inevitable seclusion until 1999. His 3rd album “Heroz4hire” was self-released on his own Know Savage Records. This continued the controversial “999 Pa Cent” cut. “Divine Design” followed in 2003 also self-released on Ashenafi Records and even more recently “Still Rising” in 2007 continue to prove his ability, perseverance, and passion to what he TRUE-ly loves – absolutely smashing stages to bits with a mic! For those from the way-back, Jeru was a significant figure at the original sold out crowd True Luck party @ Asylum. Tonight will be a very special show in tribute to another legend, the recently passed Guru, as he performs a set of all Guru material in what can only described as history in the making!

http://www.evolintent.com

Los Angeles, CA | New York City

The Atlanta-based Evol Intent are among the greatest purveyors of the incendiary, evolving modern jungle sound. Operating as a three piece power troop, Knick, Gigantor, and the Enemy have produced some of the most progressive drum n’ bass to date. Their influence is global! Birthed out of hardcore-punk culture, the trio developed a unique method for wrecking soundsystems. Their sounds combines dynamic drum mechanics, razor sharp edits, sawtooth synths and discord resonant of their punk youth. A large discography includes work on Renegade Hardware, Barcode, Outbreak, Human, and their own Evol Intent label. Dieselboy requested their skills for his acclaimed “Dungeon Master’s Guide” compilation, remixing a track from the world-renowned BT. They have produced tracks for video games like the coveted EA Sports’ “Need for Speed” and Adult Swim promo adds. They also solidified other partnerships with Chris Renegade, Ewun, Apex and Spor to create Lifted Music. “Glock Party”, Evol Intent’s contribution to the label’s inaugural release “The Prologue EP” became an undeniable underground smash-a track that Goldie has been spinning all over the world and boldly states that “the reaction has been mental.” Their “Era of Diversion” EP showcases their many styles. Never resting, the boys’ side projects: Hostage (Knick, Mayhem & Ewun) for breakbeat, Minus Music for downtempo, and Treasure Fingers (The Enemy) for electro, and Gigantor doing engineering and mixdowns. Unstoppable, awe-inspiring, and energy that cannot be denied, the Evol Intent experience is about to take NE by storm!

Delorean Music Company

Boston, Massachusetts

Call them indie dance, electro, or plain old partyrockin’ house music, but whatever you call them, one thing is guaranteed. They will blow your roof off! HPD was formed in October of 2007 when Chris Barlow, Jon Spero and Matt Simmers of the drum & bass act Terravita decided to make a few electro tunes with their friend Taylor Jordan aka Fantastadon. After being posted on the Discodust blog Hot Pink Delorean started receiving major attention. The group has remixed for The Rogue Element, Steed Lord, Designer Drugs and The Qemists. In 2009, Hot Pink Delorean released their “I Am What Porno Should Be” EPs (parts 1 and 2) to rave reviews receiving play on BBC Radio 1 and KISS FM in the UK and all over XM and Sirius radio. Songs off the EPs had support from artists like Carl Cox, Benny Benassi, MYLO, Jaymo & Andy George, Digitalism, Adam Freeland, Donald Glaude, Richard Vision, Steve Porter, Craze, Klever, and many many more. The track “Party Favour” off of the EPs, with the group’s friend, Fantastadon, was also featured on Kissy Sell Out’s cover mount mix CD for Mixmag in December of 2009. The band released the “Party Favour” EP on Pieces of Eight in April of 2010. The release went on to chart in the top 20 in the Cool Cuts and DMC charts. Next cam a collaboration with Mustard Pimp entitled “Rock” on Dim Mak. HPD shows no signs of slowing down with releases forthcoming on their own Delorean Music Company label, Pieces of Eight Records, Donald Glaude’s Records and Overthrow as well as a remix of Dresden & Johnston’s “Metaphonix” on Problem Child and a remix of Gamble & Burke’s “Let’s Go Together” on Kitsune. With an energetic explosive stage show and track selection to amp any dancefloor put your hands together for your local heroes Hot Pink Delorean!

Toronto, Ontario, Canada

DJ Capital J has been a triple threat since the age of 13 when he first showed the decks who’s boss. Trained strictly as a battle DJ, he dominated his home town of London Ontario’s scratch & mix competitions, where he remained undefeated. His production skills, even at such a young age earned him opening slots for Ice-T & Evil E, RUN DMC, EPMD, Red Man and tons more before he even left high school. When Caps aka ‘Public Enemy #1’, arrived on the front steps of Toronto Canada in ‘97, he instantly took the D&B scene by storm, scratching records with his elbows, feet and chin! His style of jump-up head crushing D&B includes an arsenal of home grown Dub-plates & remixes. He was crowned DJ of the month by TRIBE magazine. Over the years, J has been releasing sound on such labels as Food for thought, Phobic, Wikkid, N20, Mix N Blen, SRM, Frozen, Gangsta Gun, Ruff Soldier Select Records and so on. He gets heavy play from the UK’s top Dj’s plus BBC’s 1xtra, KOOL Fm, and a long list D&B radio, mixtape & internet mix shows everywhere. An Asylum favorite and a favorite everywhere he plays, Capital J is welcomed back to NE once again to bring the ruckus!

|||||||||||||||||||||||| ALSO FEATURING:

The Asylum wouldn’t have had a 6 year run had it not been for the support from all points in the Northeast. With this final installment of the Asylum Reunion, we at True Productions felt it was necessary to show respect to as many people possible, who helped the Asylum along the way. Even with a total of 6 stages across two venues, we don’t have enough time to fit in all the Artists, DJs, & MCs that we wanted. Many of the the DJs below will be doing tag sets or playing shortened sets to make this work! KEEP CHECKING BACK FOR UPDATED INFORMATION AND TIMESLOTS!!!!
